Florida accounts for 75% of the country’s oranges. Other crops raised are grapefruits, strawberries, melons, potatoes and peanuts. Florida is also a manufacturing base for electronics, electrical and transportation equipment and machines.
Florida is a top travel destination in the world, reaching a record 76.8 million visitors in 2004. It is famous for its balmy weather, mild winters and coastal beezes. The hurricane season runs six months from June 1 to November 30.
Florida does not tax individual income and there are no state income brackets.
